Advantage+

Advantage+ is Meta's brand name for its automation features, so whenever you see "Advantage+" or "Advantage" attached to a setting, it means "let Meta handle this part for you" instead of setting it by hand.

You are clicking through the campaign builder and the same word keeps appearing next to almost every choice you make. Advantage+ audience means Meta picks who sees the ad. Advantage+ placements means Meta picks where it shows. Advantage+ creative means Meta adjusts how the ad looks for each person. Advantage+ sales campaigns means Meta runs almost the whole thing. Each toggle is the same move under a different name: you are handing one more decision over to Meta's system instead of making it yourself.

This matters because it is the direction Meta is pushing the entire product, so you are going to see the word on nearly every screen you open, and the moment you realize it just means "automated" the whole interface stops feeling like a code you have to crack. It is not one feature you turn on once. It is a label sitting on top of many separate decisions, and reading it that way tells you exactly what each switch is actually doing.

Do not read Advantage+ as automatically better, and do not read it as automatically worse. It is a trade. You give Meta control and its speed, and in return you get less say over the account and less visibility into why things happened, and that trade tends to pay off best when your tracking is clean and your creative is genuinely strong. Weigh each setting on its own instead of flipping everything on or off just because that is what you did last time.

The word only means "automated," and every place it appears is one more decision you are choosing whether to keep or give away.
