Vertical Video Ads

A vertical video ad is a full-screen, sound-on video placement that fills the phone in X's vertical video feed.

You upload a clip shot tall, and it plays full screen the moment someone scrolls into the vertical video surface, with sound on by default. A call to action button appears after the first second, sending the viewer to your site or app.

Say you put up a nine-by-sixteen clip of your product. Ads Manager reports 100,000 impressions, 30,000 people who watched past six seconds, and 900 who tapped the button. Open your own campaign's video breakdown and divide those taps by impressions to get the click rate you are actually paying for.

A view is not a watch. Full-screen autoplay inflates your view counts, and a two-second glance sits in the same column as a real click. People read the big view number and think the ad is working when nobody is going anywhere.

Judge it by clicks and cost per result, not view counts.
