Offline conversion import is uploading sales that happened away from your website, like a phone call or an in-store deal, so the ad platform can credit the click that started them.

Plenty of businesses close the sale off the site. Someone clicks your ad, fills a form, then buys over a call or in person days later. The platform saw the click but never the sale. Offline conversion import connects them: you match the lead back to the click, usually with an identifier captured at the click, and upload the result so Google or Meta learns which ad produced real revenue.

Say a lead worth several thousand rupees closes on a call. You export that closed deal, tie it to the original click ID, and import it. Now the platform can optimize toward the clicks that turn into paying customers, not just the ones that fill forms.

Google changed the rules on this in 2026, so old methods may not carry over. From mid-June 2026 Google began blocking new legacy offline imports through the Ads API and pushing advertisers toward its newer setup, so check the current path before you build on the old one.

The click is only half the story; the import writes the ending.
