A Story ad is a branded tile in the Discover feed that opens into a series of snaps.

Your tile sits among the publisher and creator content in Discover, and tapping it opens a collection of three to twenty snaps you have sequenced, each able to carry its own attachment. It gives you room to tell a longer story than a single ad, inside the part of Snapchat people browse rather than skip.

Say you are introducing a skincare range. Your branded tile in Discover opens into six snaps, one per product, each with a swipe up to that product's page. Someone browsing Discover taps in, moves through the range at their own pace, and swipes up on the one they want.

The tile is a separate piece of creative that has to earn the tap. Buyers pour effort into the snaps inside and treat the tile as an afterthought, so nobody opens it. A weak tile means the whole Story goes unseen no matter how good the sequence behind it is.

The tile sells the open, the snaps sell the rest.
