Standard Events

In one lineThe named events the pixel sends.

Standard Events are the predefined, named actions the Snap Pixel reports, such as page view, add to cart, and purchase.

You fire the matching event name at the moment the action happens and pass parameters like value, currency, and item IDs with it. Because the names are standardized, Snapchat uses them directly for optimization, catalog matching, and audience building without any custom mapping.

A checkout page fires the purchase event with the order value and the item IDs. That one event feeds conversion reporting, powers value bidding, and drops the buyer into a purchasers audience you can exclude or model from.

People invent their own event names or bury everything under page view. Optimization and catalog matching key off the standard names; a custom label the platform does not recognize is invisible to every system downstream.

Use the names Snapchat already knows.
