Interest Targeting

In one lineReaching users by interest.
Interest Targeting illustration

Interest Targeting reaches users based on the topics they have engaged with recently, wherever they happen to be on Quora.

You select interests and your ad follows people who have shown activity in those areas, even when the page they are reading has nothing to do with your product. This is user-level behavior, so the targeting travels with the person rather than staying pinned to a topic page.

Someone who has been reading questions about SaaS tools sees your ad while browsing an unrelated question about travel.

Interest is not the same as Topic, even when the labels look identical. Topic targets the page context; interest targets the user's recent history and serves them anywhere. People run both under the same name and then cannot explain why performance and placement diverge.

Topic stays on the page. Interest follows the person.
