A campaign group is a folder that holds related campaigns and can carry a shared budget and schedule.
You use it to organize by initiative, funnel stage, or client, and to set a group-level budget and run dates that cap everything beneath it. Reporting rolls up to the group, so it doubles as the layer where you compare a whole program rather than a single campaign.
You run a product launch with three campaigns, one for awareness, one for consideration, one for lead gen. You put all three in a launch campaign group with a total budget and a fixed end date, and the group stops spending when either limit is hit.
Group budgets and campaign budgets interact. If you set both, the tighter limit wins, and people routinely wonder why a campaign stopped early when the real cap was one level up. Decide where the budget lives and set it in one place.
A folder with a wallet. Treat it like one.
