Data Stream

A data stream is a single source, a website or an app, that feeds data into a GA4 property.

You create one data stream per platform you want to measure. A website is one stream, an iOS app another, an Android app a third, and all of them can report into the same property.

A business with a site and a mobile app sets up three data streams under one property: web, iOS, and Android. Data from all three lands together, so the full picture sits in one place.

More streams do not mean more properties. A common mistake is spinning up a separate property per platform, which fragments your reporting. Keep related web and app streams inside one property so the data stays joined.
